MY PLATFORM

Robert People

I will provide the leadership that Florida's Congressional District 15 has been sorely missing. I will listen to and work for my constituents, not the president, nor the administration. Not even other Democrats. I will work for the PEOPLE.

As your Congressman, I will bring the attention back to the PEOPLE. Too many Representatives forget who they serve and end up removed from us. My VISION is to PRIORITIZE what you, the PEOPLE, tell me you need from your member of Congress. Below are some of my IDEAS:

NO AIPAC Contributions and NO Further Arms to Israel

I will NOT accept donations from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC). This includes disguised, AIPAC-linked donors; i.e., donations linked to AIPAC while not disclosed as being received from this organization. I will also always vote and/or support NO further arms being sent to Israel under this administration.

I will NOT support Israel's GENOCIDE against the people of Palestine. Since October 7, 2023, 65,000 Palestinians have died, and this continues even after an established Gaza peace place that went into effect on October 10, 2025. This is unacceptable.

No word from the United States or Israel to express any care or concern for the thousands of murdered Palestinians, and enough is enough. I will always speak up against this war and the senseless killing of the people of Palestine.

No CHILD Goes HUNGRY

Our children need to be fed and nourished so that they can focus on learning and becoming their absolute best. I will fight for FREE school breakfasts and lunches for ALL our children. I would like to propose child tax credits to cover school meals.

I would also like to restore USDA funding for food banks and to engage with food assistance organizations to identify bureaucratic barriers and regulation changes that could expand opportunities and alleviate costs.

We must remember that this will also help hard-working families, especially single mothers, as this option allows them no longer to have the additional task of preparing breakfasts and lunches for their children on school days. They have more than enough to deal with...this will at least give them one less task to take on.

Women's Health is NOT Up for Debate

Woman Icon and Health

Women are still having to deal with a host of issues during doctor's visits. They are NOT being heard by medical providers. Women are often misdiagnosed, receive improper treatments, or are frequently told that they "need to lose weight" in an effort to dismiss the problem. There is still a lack of women in clinical trials, as men are still strongly viewed as the default, insufficient research into women's health issues, and so much more. I will support federal grant funding for these initiatives. Reproductive health and decisions are always up to a woman and her doctor.

Reform Immigration System

We have heard about the abhorrent and inhumane treatment of the detainees, along with the overwhelming majority of prisoners NOT being violent criminals, contrary to the initially stated mission of this administration. Along with this, immigrants who have applied for asylum or even have legal visas are having them illegally revoked, as they are being sent to these detention centers. There have been no meaningful updates to the processes in more than 40 years. There are existing bipartisan bills that were recently proposed, but no traction due to this racist regime. I will push for these bills to be advanced.

Reversing the "Big Ugly Bill"

Big Beautiful Bill and Mike Johnson

This bill was passed on July 3, 2025, and signed on July 4, 2025. This is a horrible bill, to say the least. Millions will lose healthcare coverage and SNAP benefits. Our national debt will rise by nearly $3.5 trillion. There will be limits to overtime and tips deductions. And this is just the start. If this has not taken place by the time I am in office in 2027, my goal here would be to propose legislation to amend and/or repeal this bill.

It is important to note that in this case, a two-thirds vote would be needed from both the House and the Senate. However, considering the catastrophic nature of the contents of this bill, I feel that we cannot just give up, and I do not plan to do so.

Protecting Social Security

I will propose raising the Social Security tax cap. According to http://pgpf.org, in 2025, the Social Security tax cap was set at $176,100, which is an increase of $7,500 more than in 2024.

Florida has the second-largest population of seniors in the state, at 4.6 million, next to California (6 million). Florida also has the third-largest percentage of seniors in the state (21.75%), next to Maine (22.94%) and Vermont (22.15%).

We must make sure we keep the Social Security conversation on the table, and I pledge to keep the discussion going. Our citizens should not have to worry about losing their hard-earned money.

Increasing Teacher Salaries

Teacher and Students

One way I will look to do this is to establish a minimum salary in every state. This will be determined at the very least by the cost of living, the current median salaries, and a few other factors. It will be enough for teachers to NOT have to get second jobs over the summer.

HOW WILL THIS BE PAID FOR?

When annual budgets are established, teacher salaries need to be at the TOP of the list. Except for emergency issues, all the improvements and enhancements in the world make NO difference if you don't have teachers.
