MY VISION

I want to provide the leadership that has been sorely missing from Florida's Congressional District 15. I want to remind my future constituents who Congress works for. Not the president. Not even other Democrats. We work for the PEOPLE.
As your Congressman, I want to bring the attention back to the PEOPLE. Too many representatives get in office and because they forget who they serve, they end up distant from us. My VISION consists of what you as the PEOPLE tell me you need from a member of Congress. Here are some of my PRIORITIES:
Free School Breakfasts and Lunches for Children
Our children need to be fed and nourished so that they can focus on learning and becoming their absolute best. I will fight for FREE school breakfasts and lunches for ALL our children.
I believe that many school districts simply do not prioritize school meals as part of their budgets, which is unacceptable. As your Congressman, I will make this a priority.
We must remember that this will also help hard-working families, especially single mothers, as this option allows them no longer to have the additional task of preparing breakfasts and lunches for their children on school days. They have more than enough to deal with...this will at least give them one less task to take on.

Improving Women's Health Treatment and Outcomes

There is a serious problem in our country with how women are medically treated. The most common issue, as stated by women, is the deeper problem that, as with so many other aspects, men are the default regarding medical treatments and diagnoses, which leads to women suffering from being misdiagnosed, receiving improper treatments, or being told that they "need to lose weight" in an effort to dismiss the problem.
Ladies, I want to focus on improving how you are medically treated by learning from you and the issues you face, proposing legislation that calls for medical studies and research with women as the primary subjects when studying women's health. Also, there needs to be specialties within women's health as well, rather than only OBGYNs to cover all areas. Women's health has been neglected long enough, and as we are already seeing attacks on women's reproductive rights, as your congressman, I will fight to protect your reproductive rights and improve your overall medical care.
Removing Immigrant Detention Centers
I will propose and/or support any legislation to remove immigrant detention centers. To start with, "Alligator Alcatraz" in the Florida Everglades has a planned massive budget of $450 million PER YEAR to operate. Florida is fronting the initial costs, with plans to seek reimbursement from the Federal Emergency Management Agency, or FEMA.
We have heard about the abhorrent and inhumane treatment of the detainees, along with the overwhelming majority of prisoners NOT being violent criminals, contrary to the initial stated mission of this administration. Along with this, immigrants who have applied for asylum or even have legal visas are having them illegally revoked, as they are being sent to these detention centers.
$450 million per year. Yet when it comes to citizens needing help, the question of "How will we pay for it?" always comes up. Now we know that is clearly possible. But this absolutely cannot stand. I will propose for immediate destruction of these centers and that the detainees be released back into society, and then we deal with them in the proper, legal, and most of all, HUMANE way.

Reversing the "Big Ugly Bill"

This bill was passed on July 3, 2025, and signed on July 4, 2025. This is a horrible bill, to say the least. Millions will lose healthcare coverage and SNAP benefits. Our national debt will rise by nearly $3.5 trillion. There will be limits to overtime and tips deductions. And this is just the start. If this has not taken place by the time I am in office in 2027, my goal here would be to propose legislation to amend and/or repeal this bill.
It is important to note that in this case, a two-thirds vote would be needed from both the House and the Senate. However, considering the catastrophic nature of the contents of this bill, I feel that we cannot just give up, and I do not plan to do so.
Protecting Social Security
I will propose returning social security in the full amounts to their rightful owners.
HOW: First, please visit https://www.ssa.gov to get the information on what you have paid into your social security. Rather than in monthly installments as what happens now, returns will happen by way of check or one-time direct deposit for the FULL amount.
From this point forward, the option will still exist to pay into social security, but this will no longer be mandatory to come out of payroll checks.

Increasing Teacher Salaries

One way I will look to do this is to establish a minimum salary in every state. This will be determined at the very least by the cost of living, the current median salaries, and a few other factors. It will be enough for teachers to NOT have to get second jobs over the summer.
HOW WILL THIS BE PAID FOR?
When annual budgets are established, teacher salaries need to be at the TOP of the list. Except for emergency issues, all the improvements and enhancements in the world make NO difference if you don't have teachers.
